Writing Competition Terms and Conditions:

Overview:

These are the full terms of our writing competition, these should be followed not in preference to our regular T&C, but coinciding with our regular T&C on this website.

Applicants may only enter if they are aged 18 or over or over the age of majority in their country or residence. This means that a parent/guardian needs to enter this competition on behalf of their child, should they and their child wish to enter.

Legal Undertaking

entering into this competition the entrant (‘Entrant’, ‘you’, ‘your(s)’) will be deemed to have legal capacity to do so, you will have read and understood these terms and conditions and you will be bound by them and by any other requirements set out in any related promotional material.

Competitions are governed by English Law and any matters relating to the Competition will be resolved under English Law and the Courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Competition entry:

To enter this competition, the entrant will need to purchase a copy of “The Scary Sunflower” and complete the writing activity at the back of the book. After completing this activity, you may enter this story into the competition or a different story. The writing activity at the back of the book, is intended as encouragement and guidance to help new writers get started.

The author of the story entered into the competition, will be required to send in a photograph of themselves with the story “The Scary Sunflower”. This will be used in the new published book, if you are to win the competition.

Processing of personal information:

By entering into this competition, you agree that the entrants full name and child’s name (if applicable) and age is shared. You also agree to receive emails from Us, that are relevant to the competition.

Winning this competition:

You agree that if you win this competition, you will assign full copyright of the entered story to us, Chamelifun LTD, this includes international copyright in multiples formats, including, but not limited to: paperback, audio, hardback, electronic. This also includes copyright to any merchandise or additional products related to the entered story. You acknowledge that this will not affect your rights as the author and this will be explained to the entrant fully, once the winner is announced.
